Niramish Echorer Kalia or নিরামিষ এঁচোড়ের কালিয়া is a niramish (pure-veg) traditional Bengali recipe. The echor (jackfruit) is cooked with common spices and a special ingredient that completely enhances the taste of the recipe. The recipe can be mode on pujo/festival or special celebrations.

- 2tsp sugar
- 3tbsp ghee
- ½cup white oil
- 1pc dry bay leaf
- 2pcs dry red chilli
- 1tsp cumin seeds
- ¼cup coconut milk
- 2tsp cumin powder
- 130g tomato paste
- 2pcs potato (215g)
- 2tsp turmeric powder
- 750g jackfruit (echor)
- 1½tsp salt (or to taste)
- 1tsp coriander powder
- 1tsp garam masala powder
- 1tsp kashmiri red chilli powder
- 30g ginger & 4pcs green chilli paste
- 4pcs clove
- 2” long cinnamon
- 4pcs green cardamom
