INGREDIENTS:
- sugar- 1cup
- water- 2cups
- ice cubes~ 6-8pcs
- green lemon- 3pcs
- sugar- 1Tbsp (optional)
- mint leaves~ 4-6leaves
- ginger (grated/crushed)- 75g
- sparkling water (as required)
DIRECTIONS:
At first, grate ginger (75g) and keep it aside. Next, cut green lemon (2pcs), squeeze and collect the juice; cut another lemon into thin slices and keep it aside.
Switch on gas stove, place a pot, put water (2cups) and boil. Once the water start boiling, add grated ginger (75g) and sugar (1cup) and boil the water for 15min and reduce the water to 1cup. Strain the syrup using a sieve and keep in the open air to cool down.
In a glass, add ginger syrup (1ounce), lemon juice (1ounce), few pieces of sliced lemon, few pieces of mint leaves, few pieces of ice cubes, stir all together with a spoon and remaining portion of the glass fill with sparkling water. Alternately, you can use chilled water. However, sparkling water enhances taste to the drink. Decorate the drink with mint leaves and a slice of lemon. Ginger Lemonade is ready to serve. Enjoy! TIP:
If you soak a lemon (refrigerated for longer time) in lukewarm water for 5min. You can extract juice easily from the lemon.
